Southshore

Southshore Named Community of the Year AURORA, Colo. - Southshore, the premier waterside community located in Aurora, was named Community of the Year during the 29th Annual BAR Awards, hosted by the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver (HBA). Developed by Laing/Village LLC, Southshore was also recognized in five other categories, taking first-place honors for "Best Brochure of a Master Planned Community;" "Best Website for a Master Planned Community;" "Best Special Print Promotion;" "Best Advertising Campaign" and "Best Landscape Design." "We're thrilled to be recognized for our elevated standards and commitment to our homebuyers at Southshore," said Susan Peterson, general manager of Southshore.

Earned for demonstrating excellence in all disciplines involved in designing, building, merchandizing and selling new home communities, the BAR Awards are one of the most prestigious honors to be awarded in the building industry. As you enter the community, you are welcomed by the Lakehouse, Southshore's recreational and social centerpiece. The three-story facility offers panoramic views of the Reservoir, a fitness studio and aerobics room, stadium-seating theater, library and reading room, the spacious Lakeview room and more.

Defined by water, Southshore maximizes the use and enjoyment of water and open space. The community has devoted nearly 100 acres to open space, trail corridors, water features and parks.

Along Home Street, Southshore's model complex, prospective homebuyers will find a large selection of well-crafted homes by award-winning builders, John Laing Homes and Village Homes. Southshore homes range in size from approximately 1,600 to 3,800 square feet and are priced from the low $300,000s.

Interested homebuyers are encouraged to visit Home Street, or call (303) 680-7866 for more information. Just past Home Street, in the Lake District, are the five homes featured in the 2007 Parade of Homes. Priced from $1.8 to 2.6 million, interested buyers are encouraged to contact Phyllis Fogel, custom home sales director at 303-587-0785.

Directions To visit Southshore, exit E-470 at Smoky Hill Road and head east for two miles. Make a left on to Arapahoe Rd, left on Powhaton Road towards the Aurora Reservoir, turn right onto East Southshore Parkway and then follow signs for Home Street.
